A future-proof, intelligent working environment with state-of-the-art unified communication and AV solutions for LC Packaging
Challenge:
Communication is key for LC Packaging as a multinational firm with 1,700 employees working in 16 countries. Teleconferencing and video conferencing facilities had been used for years, but not all were 100% user-friendly anymore.
Solution:
For their new head office, LC Packaging opted for a future-proof smart working environment with state-of-the art Unified Communication and AV solutions including Sennheiser’s room microphone TeamConnect Ceiling 2.
In 2020, LC Packaging moved to a new ultramodern head office in Waddinxveen, The Netherlands. Integrator AVEX was chosen as partner for the smart workplace design and realization of the audiovisual systems for the new building. They decided on TeamConnect Ceiling 2 (TCC2) as flexible mic solution for the conference room.
In the new state-of-the-art LC Packaging head office, everything revolves around innovation, sustainability, and quality. The bar was set high: It was decided to meet all the requirements of the BREEAM Outstanding certification, the ultimate sustainability label for buildings. In addition, much attention was paid to the attractiveness of the workplace and a pleasant informal atmosphere. There are various types of focus areas and collaboration areas in the new building.

New UC and AV solutions find high user adoption
The working spaces and the new setup for tele and video conferencing are well received by the employees. The user-friendly Microsoft Teams communication platform has become the standard within the company and all meeting rooms have been made suitable for Microsoft Teams video conferences. As a microphone solution that is certified for Microsoft Teams, TCC2 was the perfect fit to LC Packaging’s new UC environment. In the conference room for large groups, the room microphone is installed together with speakers from Sennheiser’s Global Alliances partner Bose Professional and a Logitech camera.

TCC2’s patented automatic dynamic beamforming technology allows users the flexible usage of the complete space and collaboration with remote participants – no matter where they sit, stand or walk in the room. Thanks to its flexible integration options, TCC2 could be installed easily in the conference room. The SL CM SK ceiling mic suspension kit was used for the suspended installation of the microphone. The set consists of 4 steel cables with 16.4ft (5m) length that can be adjusted to an individual installation height.
After using its new focus and collaboration areas for several months, LC Packaging is very happy with the work atmosphere in its new head office. With its sustainable, state-of-the-art working environment, LC Packaging is ready for the future.
